?

Well, we are still here, and we haven't made any plans to move yet.  However, things are definitely happening...  I wish I could tell you in detail all that has been going on, but I can't.  Just know that God is at work in powerful ways. :)

I am becoming more and more excited about college.  I accepted at CSU, and they actually gave me a nice scholarship!  I should be starting college at the end of August, if all goes as planned.

Spirit's training is still going smoothly.  Judah, his owner, and I have been riding him quite a bit.  So far, we have only had one rodeo, and even that ended well.  Spirit is now able to be ridden at the walk and trot by both Judah and myself.  We'll be teaching him to canter soon.  I am gaining a lot of experience from working with him, just as I did with little Ginger.

A New Year, with new adventures

I spent the morning packing and moving boxes out of our "mystery room" so that Daddy could start painting in there.  We have a lot of stuff.  The boxes were surprisingly heavy, so I got a good workout.  I like organising work like that, especially when it involves plenty of physical activity.

Since all our horses have moved on to their new homes, I have felt lost without a horse to care for.  However, some friends of ours have given me an opportunity to train a young horse for them, so I have a horse over here now.  His name is Spirit, and he's a four-year-old dark dun gelding.  He is pretty cute, and I can't wait to get some pictures of him for the blog.  Spirit is here to be broken to ride, and I am also teaching his young owner how to train horses.  It is exciting for me, and so far everything has gone well.

Daddy recently painted our sitting room upstairs.  It really needed it, because we had not painted over the patched holes in the walls from a little boy with a baseball bat.  The room is now a lovely yellow color, and it looks much better.  Soon we'll install new carpet, and then it will be like a whole new room.

We found out a few days ago that Fort Collins has passed a law to ban Pit Bulls from the city.  We were aware that the passing of the law was a possibility, so it wasn't such a surprise to us.  This means that our sweet Bunny will not be going to Colorado with us.  Thankfully, we believe we have a good home for her already.  Annie's piano teacher is interested in taking Bunny to be a friend to her young, active puppy, Rosie.  Annie is really going to miss her little doggie friend, but Bunny should be happier than she has been lately.  She deeply misses Abby, and she doesn't quite know what to do with herself as an only dog.

I think that is all the current news.  Hope you are having a happy New Year!
